Vacation review #3....

On Sunday September 10th, the folks were not feeling like getting out so Shelly, her brother & myself grabbed lunch after site seeing in Philadelphia. Whenever I visit a new place, I like to try a local beer. This time I got a Victory Golden Monkey. This was a strong, crisp beer that the brewery describes as "Nose is loaded with Belgian yeast character. Banana, clove, isoamyl. Body is equally fruity with light earthy hop character. Boozy with a dry finish."
Victory for sure
Roasted Tomato Soup - Preserved Lemon, Chive Oil, Farmers Cheese / Nice flavors with a kick of spice, but was closer to a marinara sauce than an actual soup.
Ham Club - Pit Ham, Smoked Bacon, Vidalia Onion Loraine Spread, Butter Lettuce, Heirloom Tomato, Multi-Grain / Stupendous Sammich! The bread was awesome, hell everything about this sandwich was great.
Buffalo Chicken & Biscuits - Sausage Gravy, Potatoes / BIL said this was crispy chicken with subtle heat. Biscuit was perfectly cooked and cheesy. The gravy was nice & thick. He really enjoyed this dish.
Lion Burger - Sharp Cheddar, Bacon, Pickled Red Onion, Pimento Cheese, Butter Lettuce, Heirloom Tomato, House Made Pickles / Fantastic burger! It was HUGE. I am always on the hunt for great burgers & this totally hit the mark. Highly recommend.

It wasn't till after I had ordered my first beer that I saw they offered flights for only $12 but I still had to give it a go. I was feeling mellow after we finished lunch lol
DirtWolf Double IPA - Citrus, pine, resin, tropical fruit, loaded hop nose from heavy Mosaic and Simcoe dry-hopping. Full bodied with hop bitterness and resinous hop flavor. Leaves a lasting impression.*

Perennial Southside Blonde is a sessionable Belgian-Style Blonde Ale that is light-bodied and dry with a hint of fruitiness from the yeast. Southside is a friendly pairing with a variety of foods and an approachable choice for all types of beer drinkers*

ORIGINAL SIN HARD CIDER - Dry Traditional cider, fermented with two types of Champagne yeast*

Boulder Bump 'n' Rind - a crushable Kolsch-style beer with just the right amount of fresh watermelon zing. A perfect thirst-quenching companion for any occasion, but especially those starting with pool party, dance party, BBQ, golf course, beach, backpack, bonfire, hot tub, music festival, tailgate... OK so just about any fun occasion. Guaranteed seedless! *
