 I apologize for taking so long between blog posts. During the 2nd leg of our trip, we did not have access to decent internet & once we arrived home, I became very busy with the family business.
My New Year's resolution is to start keeping up better with this blog. Thank you all for your patience.

....Continuing our pre cruise visit of New York, the 5 of us dined at Beauty & Essex
on Thursday, September 14, 2017. This is a combination pawn shop & high end restaurant located in the Lower East Side. The street parking was "fun" especially with my FIL needing a wheelchair. You enter into an actual pawn shop.

Since my wife & I are the most culinary adventurous, we selected several menu items for the whole table to share:

We started off with the Tuna Poke Wonton Tacos

‘Chile Relleno’ Empanadas - poblano, manchego, jalapeño-lime crema

Beauty & Essex Burger - brisket, short rib, & lamb, spicy harissa aioli, beefsteak tomato, goat feta, crispy BBQ fries

This burger was so good, we HAD to order 2 of them!

Chocolate Macaroon - peanut butter ice cream, salted caramel corn, dulce chocolate pearls, warm ganache

Box of Doughnuts - vanilla beignets with chocolate hazelnut creme & raspberry jam

EVERYTHING we ate was stupid delicious. Just looking at these pictures now, make me want to hop a plane from Houston to get my grub on!
