Anniversary Weekend part 3 - Rita's Cantina Mexican Kitchen

Picking up from were we left off in Part 2, we continue our journey back towards home. Before we arrive at The Palace, we first paid a visit to Judy & Javier, the owners of the greatest Mexican restaurant on the North side of Houston - Rita's Cantina Mexican Kitchen.  Anyone who follows HungryHeath knows that this is one of my top 3 favorite Mexican restaurants. I wrote a previous blog, showcasing a few of their dishes, but I felt this would be a good time to tell y'all about the other wonders to be found at this gem. They are located in a modest looking, nondescript strip mall in Pinehurst, TX. Please don't let the location discourage you, the scratch made food is DELICIOUS! The prices are great, & extremely affordable. I have paid more at other establishments for far inferior food. Plus, the owners & staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Every trip is an enjoyable one. Judy works the "front of the house" visiting with every table, checking to make sure each guest is well taken care of. All of this is happening while her husband Javier is in the kitchen, crafting each dish to feature exquisite flavors & making sure each plate is decorated as if you were in some high end snooty eatery. I am practically obsessed with Mexican food. My family & I eat it 2-3 times a week. There have even been times when we went to Rita's twice in one day.
