Alaskan Cruise 2018 - Day 6

Today was yet another sea day. We really didn't do much other than eat & sleep. 

Shelly started with some fruit before ordering her favorite cruise ship breakfast dish, the Eggs Benedict.

 I opted to satisfy my carnivore craving...
Ham and Cheese Omelette with bacon, sausage, hash browns & English Muffins

For lunch, we returned to the main dining room for more tasty vittles...
Mexican Albondigas Soup
beef broth, meatballs, vegetables

Crisp-Fried Calamari
marinara dipping sauce, lemon wedge

Pappardelle Noodles with Chicken Ragout

Meat Tortellini with Veal Jus and Sage Butter

Cherry Trifle
pound cake, vanilla custard, Bing cherries, whipping cream

Double Chocolate Fudge Cake

Well, we did make it to the Lumberjack Show between lunch & dinner. We made sure to catch this show because one of our table mates from dinner was a participant. It was fun watching them all throw the axes. Although, Lumberjack Rob Scheer, gave an interesting talk about his life, it was essentially an infomercial for the show in town the next day. 😃

Roasted Corn & Sweet Potato Chowder

Alaska Shellfish Bisque
lobster cream with cognac, white fish, shrimp and black mussels

Chicken and Leek Pot Pie
buttery flaky pastry, tarragon, cream gravy

Pappardelle al Cinghiale
wild boar ragout, egg noodles, rosemary sprig

Apple and Walnut Spring Rolls
raspberry-pepper dipping sauce

Strawberry Ice Cream

 Damn, all this gorgeous food is making me hungry. I think I'll end here & go find me something to eat. See ya next week...
