ALASKAN CRUISE 2018 - DAY 11

Day 11 Saturday - June 2nd, 2018


We spent the entire sea day eating. It began with a strange & disappointing breakfast in the main dining room.

Ham & Cheese Omelette, Hash Brown Potatoes, & Bacon

It is always interesting to see the description printed on the menu versus the resulting dish that is actually served to you.  Case in point, myself & the gentleman seated to my left both ordered the Huevos Rancheros.  The menu clearly shows that the eggs are to be served ON TOP of tortillas.  This is not what we were served. What we received was a single chip stabbed into the beans. We complained to our waiter, who sent over the head waiter. The head waiter argued with us that "the tortilla was on our plate, therefore, it was as stated on the menu." I was so surprised that I forgot to take a proper photo of the dish.

At least lunch at Alfredo's Pizzeria was a pleasant experience. This pizza is probably the best on the ship. I think it better than the Prego Pizzeria & from room service. The crust is a pillowy chewy delight & the toppings are items that you normally can find.

 After those delicious pizzas, we lingered for a while to enjoy the band in the atrium.



Later that evening, we attended the Captain's Circle Cocktail Party. This is an event where the cruisers with the most sail dates are recognized & awarded a bottle of champagne. I had a little too much to drink & forgot to take pictures of the hors d'oeuvres.

 Shortly following the cocktail party, it was time for formal dinner back in the main dining room.

We had a lot of fun with our awesome table mates. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much during dinner on a cruise. They were extremely enjoyable to share dinners with.
