ALASKAN CRUISE 2018 - DAYS 13 & 14
Day 13 Mon 06.04.18
I'll be honest with you folks, I don't really recall much of what we did on this last sea day other than eat, sleep & pack up to go back home. I promise I am taking better notes for future write ups. And trust me, I have so many stories to tell y'all, but for now this is about the last days aboard the Grand Princess:
First, we slept in & skipped breakfast. So we got to lunch in the main dining room, as soon as they opened.
A few hours later we grabbed a snack at The International Café
Their website says, "This is the place for an ever-changing array of snacks and coffee selections from cappuccino to café au lait. Guests may enjoy freshly baked croissants or beignets in the morning, gourmet paninis and salads at lunchtime, or homemade gelato in the evening. Coffee lovers will find an expanded coffee program featuring a variety of specialty coffee drinks made from a selection of six different coffee beans."
Then later that evening we returned to the main dining room.
Day 14 Tues 06.05.18
This is the awful day, when we have to leave the ship & return home. The vacation is over. But first, we have one last meal before we go.
After breakfast, I went back to our room to gather our "carry on bags" & took a few more photos of the San Fransisco port.
Then it was time to catch our flight back to Houston. We left the port, headed to the airport.
Finely, after making sure that the family is safe & sound back in their homes, we head to dinner. We are craving a taste of home. Some good Tex-Mex seems like the perfect choice. I suggest Gringo's Mexican Kitchen. The location near our house has always been consistently good. On this occasion, my wife ordered her favorite soup, while I chose the killer chalupa sampler.
This was our second Alaskan cruise. We enjoyed them both so much, that we are seriously considering a third. Be sure to click the subscribe button, to make you get the latest addition of HungryHeath escapades.
