2019 World Cruise - Day 29

Thursday 01.31.19 - Sea Day

We slept in & I worked on this blog until it was time to go to the Italian buffet lunch.

11:30am Italian lunch buffet:

We sat with Steve & Betty until they finished eating, then Carl & Gail took their place. We visited with them while we ate. I had a salad, beef roulette over mashed potatoes, stuffed pork, pasta with lamb ragout, calamari & focaccia bread. Shelly had a variety of items from the buffet, but nothing really stood out or impressed her. Then back to the room to work on my blog post for Day 15 of our 2018 road trip. 

2pm Shelly went to her Ukulele Class with Tui & Maile

4pm Destination Presentation: Huahine & Raiatea (Replay)

I started my dinner with a nice little cocktail, that I call The Kraken Coke 😉

Chicken & Crab croquettes - they called them croquettes but really these were crispy spring rolls.  The flavors all meshed into one mixed with the julienned veggies, but still tasty.  The sauce was excellent and balanced out the roll.

Vegetable Samosas - "these were big and you get 2 of them.  The sauce was excellent good sweetness and I countered it by adding chopped jalapenos.  The filling was cooked well, soft potatoes with a few green peas."

Tandoori Chicken - "my second time getting this dish; however, this time they didn’t serve with a yogurt sauce.  I certainly would not call this a spicy dish, but well seasoned.  The chicken was tender."
