2019 World Cruise - Days 36 & 37

Thursday 02.07.19 - Sea Day

Today we slept in till almost 10am. I began working on the blog before we went to lunch.

11:30am German Bierfest Buffet Lunch 
I walked past the pizza area & the Hawaiian pie looked so good, that I had to have a slice. 

Then we sat with Steve & Betty while I ate pork schnitzel, 4 kinds of sausage, pork tenderloin, beef stew over spaetzle, grilled onions & potato salad. 

Shelly also had pork schnitzel over spaetzle & potato salad. Also she had cabbage slaw, debreziner sausage, rosemary chicken, and a pretzel. 

Shortly after we began eating, Andy & Dana joined us, where she told us about her art & gave me her card. We sat visiting with them for almost an hour.

Dessert was, Black Forest cake, & red velvet cupcakes.

6:30pm Cabaret Showtime:
An evening with Celine Dion, starring Tracey Shield

7:45pm MDR Dinner

I had…
Steak Fajitas - this was one of the better attempts at Mexican food. I’m glad they started bringing us diced jalapenos every night. I was able to mix some into the “salsa”.

Burger - this was another excellent burger. I had them add bacon to make it even better.

Marinated Goat Cheese - one of my favorites, but they skimp on the goat cheese.

Burger - 3 cheeses and I added diced jalapenos.  Good thick patty burger & I love how they use a pretzel bun at dinner.

Friday 02.08.19 - Sea Day

Breakfast Buffet

I had an omelette (jalapeno, ham, onions & peppers), sausage, bacon, roast potatoes, & toast

Shelly also had an omelette (jalapenos, mushrooms, peppers,and lots of cheese), & an English muffin

We went back to the room so I could work on the blog & waited to go see Bohemian Rhapsody

After the movie I finished up my blog post covering Day 1 & 2 of this 2019 World Cruise.

7:45pm MDR Dinner

I had…
Beef Satay - the meat was really tender & once I added a few drops of Crimson, the “spicy” peanut sauce was perfect.

Burger - another glorious burger that I added bacon to. I like how they have a different every night.

Chocolate Chip Cookie - This sounded better than it actually was. I forgot that it was a thick dense cookie. In my opinion, it would be better if it was chewy.

Shelly had…
Fettuccine Alfredo - this is their signature dish and you can have as an app or entree.  I chose as an app today.  Perfect creaminess, noodles cooked right, a scrumptious dish.

Everyday item Salmon with extra herb butter - large portion of salmon with roasted vegetables (carrots, turnips, and potatoes).  The salmon is cooked well.  The veggies are tender with a light oil or butter.

Crème brûlée - so much sauce that the custard almost floats.  Decent everyday dessert item.
