2019 Autumn Road Trip - Day 10

Sunday 10.06.19 - Mixing it up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We started our day with breakfast from the Pfister Club Lounge. We grabbed a plateful & ran back up to the room.

I finished writing the Day 4 blog covering this trip, while we watched Sundays with Sara Week 62. Aaron & his wife put out a very entertaining weekly update about her Keto journey.

After we caught up on our YouTube shows, we walked over to the Milwaukee Public Market, where we bought 2 packs of local cheese.

All of that browsing made us thirsty so we stopped by Colectivo Coffee - Third Ward, for a cold brew coffee & an iced tea.

We then went back to the hotel to charge our phones & get the car.

We had an incredible dinner at Iron Grate BBQ Co.
We shared the 1 meat + 1 side lunch special: pork belly burnt ends & coleslaw

I am always on the look out for new foods to try & the links n' curds appetizer fit that perfectly.

I have found that the best way to judge a BBQ place is by sampling the "Texas Trilogy" brisket, ribs & sausage. We had wanted to order a 1/2 lb of each, but the minimum that they sell is 1 lb. So of course we ordered WAY too much food.

The whole reason we came here was to try their specialty, the Milwaukee rib. This bad boy is the mother of all pork ribs. I am now of the opinion that every BBQ place should serve pork ribs this way!

On the way out, I snapped a few pics of the smokers:

After that massive meal, we limped back to the hotel to slip off into a meat coma.
