2019 Autumn Road Trip - Day 14
Day 14 - Thursday 10.10.19 - A Full Day in Niagara, Ontario, Canada
We woke up early so I could take more pics from our room before going downstairs eager to jump into the days events.
As we walked over towards the falls, I was able to take a few more photos.
Shelly booked us the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass Plus.
It began with a self guided Journey Behind the Falls.
After the behind the scenes stuff, we went to the Niagara's Fury show. This was an interactive area complete with weather effects. I forgot to bring my waterproof phone case so sadly I was not able to get any photos during this attraction.
We next took the WEGO bus to eat lunch at The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro.
Shelly had a bunless Love Goat burger which has a peppercorn crusted patty giving a spicy note settled by the goat cheese and saltiness from the bacon.
I had an awesome Juicy Lucy Kamikaze burger as a lettuce wrap & added an elk patty, dressed with tomato, onions & pickles with a side of poutine. Yes, I ordered fries aka poutine. I have never had poutine and so I ordered the smallest serving they offered so I could try it. I thought it was tasty, I mean it is gravy, cheese curds, and fries? Now that I have had these I do not need to order them again. One and done!
After lunch, we found our way to the Whirlpool Aero Car
Our next stop was the butterfly conservatory
We finished up with a trip on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise.
Looking back, we probably should have started with this part since we got the most wet during this boat ride. We could have spent the rest of the day drying out instead of going back to the hotel soaking wet.
We changed clothes & headed out for our dinner reservation
at Tide and Vine Oyster House. Even after being around the water all day, we still decided to order only seafood. We began our meal with the chef pick oysters.
I think it's pretty cool that they make their own sauces!
Next, we gorged ourselves on an excellent seafood tower. We love ordering these as you get a great sampling of several seafood options, as you know we love to sample. This one was particularly vast giving us so many yummy bites. I really like how they gave great contrasts and options, plus it was all so fresh. Definitely, the place to go in Niagara Falls when you want superior seafood.
After crushing the tower, we waddled back to the hotel. Tomorrow we travel all the way to Buffalo, New York.
